About
History
PLYMOUTH ANGLING first opened up as The Tackle and Bait Shop in Plymouth in 1992. In November 2007, Tom Worthy retired from HM Armed Forces and became the current owner. Within 12 months the shop soon expanded and moved to a larger store to suit the demand of our customers and to modernise with an online sales service. In 2009 after 2 years at the helm, Tom decided to rename the store to its current name. At the time i felt we were merely one of the many tackle and bait shops within the UK without any individuality, so to promote the business and our home city, the new name of Plymouth Angling was the obvious choice. In September 2011 after much too’ing and fro’ing we moved yet again to another premises which i hope will be our final resting place, again this is a larger store and has the added benefit of a private off road customer car park to the front of the store for about 9 cars.
